The Customer Brief
Ben Eastment of Eastment Windows and Conservatories, located in Dorset, came to Belvedere Roofs to discuss the best product for a new project for his client Mr & Mrs H. The brief for the extension included many requirements that would complement the existing property aesthetically, provide a fresh and light room and importantly a thermally efficient room for all year-round usability functionality, whilst offering a strong durable long lasting product.
The Product Specification
Belvedere Roofs had no hesitation in recommending the Ultraroof complete warm roof system. This fully insulated tiled roof system has a potential U-value as low as 0.16 W/m2K. To allow an element of light into the room it was recommended to locate thermally efficient blue tinted glass into areas of the roof. The fully insulated structural beam spans four metres without additional steel support for bi-folding doors, which was ideal for this project, as a three-pane bi-folding door was to be on the main elevation.
The Installation
It was important to Eastment Windows and Conservatories to arrive on site ready to progress the project with minimal duplication of handling of products. Belvedere Roofs believes they are not just a supplier but a business partner, as such the complete roofing components were delivered direct to site together with a technical adviser at no extra cost. The unique eaves section removed the necessity for a portal frame for the bi folding door saving time and money.
